We can install any braking system you require.

Regular brake checks are imperative for road safety. Not only are properly functioning braking systems a requisite of law, but a vehicle which doesn’t have effective stopping power is more likely to be the cause of an accident.
|
Since all braking systems rely on friction as a means of slowing or stopping a car, the wearing down of the discs and pads or shoes is inevitable.
At a certain point pads cease to be within the legal margin of thickness and should be changed before reaching this stage.
People who drive in built-up areas where the car encounters many stops should have their braking system checked more regularly as the pads are likely to wear far quicker than those on a car which is predominantly used on long stretches of highway or other areas which don’t require frequent stopping and starting.
|
|
For cars with disc braking systems, pads will need to be replaced every so often, as will the discs which also wear down to a minimum safety level.
It is advisable to replace either all four at once or the front or back set at once. Since the front brakes absorb most of the load and wear sooner, it is not always necessary to replace all four pads or discs at once, but it is generally considered unsafe to replace one at a time.
This is likely to cause an imbalance of stopping power and uneven wear and is usually a false economy.

|
The same can be said for drum braking systems, which utilise shoes rather than pads, but are still subject to deterioration from friction.
For cars with ABS or Anti-lock Braking Systems, the ABS warning light will appear if something is wrong with the ABS itself, but the brakes to which the advanced decelerating technology is applied are of the same type as other cars and are subject to the same deterioration.
